Job description

Our client, an MNC civil engineering/marine construction company, is looking for a Site Superintendent.

Responsibilities:
  1. Organize and optimize the operational planning and execution of works, based on the (internal and external) client’s needs and in line with the contract, project plan, and budget, to contribute to efficient realization of project activities within QHSE-S standards and within time and budget.
  2. Translate the overall Project Plan to a planning for the operational activities within the project, ensure the availability of the required means, and adjust planning if required.
  3. Organize and ensure the overall execution of the operations, coordinate the works on site, and advise on improving project execution, in line with operational planning, budget, and QHSE-S standards.
  4. Monitor the performance of the work, quality of the work, and relevant KPI’s and take countermeasures when necessary, in line with the applicable guidelines and procedures.
  5. Organize the logistics within the scope of own operational area of responsibility in cooperation with the Technical Department and other relevant stakeholders.
  6. Evaluate and report on the project phases and end results of the project, analyze non-conformities and complaints, and make proposals for improvement.
  7. (Co)develop, implement, optimize, and/or continuously improve work processes, productions, and working methodologies.
  8. Keep up-to-date with contract specifications regarding quality, planning, and budget, ensure necessary contract administration, and signal deviations, risks, and opportunities in the contract and in project execution according to contractual agreements.
  9. Comply with QHSE-S objectives and ensure QHSE-S compliance and works execution in line with these objectives, and take corrective and preventive measures if necessary, as well as draw proposals for improvement.
  10. Plan, lead, and develop project members, assuring adequate training of personnel.
Additional Information:

• Primarily site-based with occasional office work.
• Willingness to work in remote or offshore locations as required.
• Occasional travel may be required for project-related activities.
