Job summary

The successful candidate will oversee safety compliance for construction projects, implement standards, and conduct training sessions. Qualifications

Job description

  • Responsible for the implementation and enforcement of all applicable workplace safety and EHS rules and regulations at site
  • To support and administer all WSH-related initiatives
  • Manage Workplace Safety & Health, EHS and fire safety related matters at site
  • Provide recommendations for improving safety at site
  • Prepare safety related reports and documentation
  • Perform daily site inspection to conduct safety audits on personnel and equipment and take appropriate corrective actions if necessary to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations
  • Ensure adherence to all safety and environmental regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), lockout/tagout procedures, and safety protocols
  • Prepare and conduct toolbox meeting at site
  • Monitor and enforce safety standards in accordance with WSH Act
  • Implement and enforce Permit-To-Work (PTW) system for all high-risk activities such as working at height, lifting operations and etc.
  • Investigate any safety incidents or near-misses to determine root causes, prevent recurrence and corrective actions
  • Ability to work with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure safety standards are integrated into all project phases
  • Ensure compliance of all work place safety procedures and legislations
  • Assist in ISO and Bizsafe audit
  • Any other duties related to WSH at project sites

Requirements:

  • Possess Workplace Safety & Health (WSQ certificate) or Diploma in Environment / Health / Safety or equivalent
  • Preferably 2 – 3 years of relevant safety working experience as WSH and experience in various construction solar projects
  • Knowledge in WSH legislation and regulations (WSH Act and Environment)
  • Able to work independently with all levels
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills in both English and Mandarin to liaise with Chinese associates

Salary

  • Salary will commensurate accordingly to experience
