Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd seeks an Application Reliability Engineer to act as a DevOps SRE, applying strong Java/Spring Boot and React/Node.js development to guarantee end-to-end stability and performance of web apps.

You will integrate with Apache Kafka, automate infrastructure with Python, and own CI/CD workflows using Git, Jenkins, and Groovy in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Proven full-stack software engineering capability with heavy development experience in Java, Spring Boot, React, and Node.js.
• Hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, and developing solutions for Apache Kafka or related enterprise middleware platforms.
• Strong programming proficiency in Python for building utility scripts, backend tools, and automated test pipelines.
• Familiarity with version control via Git, CI/CD automation through Jenkins/Groovy, and Linux system administration.
• Background in SRE, middleware administration, or production engineering, balancing development tasks with live production support.

Responsibilities

• Application Reliability: Act as a DevOps Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), utilizing strong hands-on development skills in Java/Spring Boot and React/Node.js to ensure end-to-end stability and performance of web applications.
• Middleware Integration: Develop and support high-throughput applications integrated with Apache Kafka or alternative enterprise messaging platforms using robust producer/consumer patterns.
• Automation Engineering: Design and implement infrastructure automation, utilities, testing frameworks, and integration tools using Python scripting.
• CI/CD & DevOps Delivery: Own and maintain modern DevOps workflows using Git, Jenkins, and Groovy scripts to build, test, and deploy software artifacts.
• Production Engineering & Support: Manage systems across development environments, middleware messaging layers, and live production environments to resolve complex deployment issues.
• Infrastructure Troubleshooting: Conduct deep-dive technical troubleshooting across Linux systems, distributed applications, and messaging architectures to maintain optimal service uptime.
