Job summary

ShopBack in Singapore invites a credit-bearing internship for H1 2027 (Dec 2026/Jan 2027 to May/June 2027). You will assist in ensuring system reliability via monitoring, automation, and incident response while helping to build scalable infrastructure using best practices.

You will work with Docker, Kubernetes, GitOps, AWS, and Postgres, gaining hands-on experience with AI-driven workflows to optimize operations.

Qualifications

• Fresh undergraduates or students in 3rd/4th year pursuing a Bachelor's degree or above.
• Strong knowledge of software engineering fundamentals (data structures & algorithms).
• Good understanding of networking, Docker, GitOps and Kubernetes.
• Experience with programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, C#, Python, JavaScript, Go).
• Scripting experience (Shell/Python).
• Experience with AWS, Postgres and Linux fundamentals.
• AI competency: demonstrated use of AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT) to develop or improve workflows.
• Minimum commitment period of 6 months, full-time.

Your Adventure Ahead

• Assist in ensuring system reliability through monitoring, automation, and incident response.
• Contribute to the development of scalable infrastructure using best practices.
• Leverage AI-driven and agentic workflows to automate infrastructure operations, intelligent remediation, and system optimization
• Support the creation and maintenance of tools for deployment, monitoring, and operational efficiency.
• Actively participate and contribute to engineering team discussions.

Essentials to Succeed

• Fresh graduates or students pursuing Bachelor's degree program or above who are in 3rd or 4th year.
• Has excellent knowledge of Software Engineering fundamentals (Data Structure, Algorithms).
• Good understanding of networking, Docker, GitOps and Kubernetes.
• Experience with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, C#, Objective-C, Python, JavaScript, Go, etc.).
• Experience with scripting (e.g. Shell/Python)
• Experience with AWS, Postgres and Linux fundamentals.
• Is a self-starter, independent and communicative.
• AI Competency: Demonstrated use ofAI tools(e.g. ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude) to develop new or improve workflows, enhance productivity, and drive efficiency at scale.
• Minimum commitment period of 6 months,full-time
