Site Manager (Structural & Building)

Job Overview

Join an established A1-grade civil engineering and construction firm involved in large-scale public infrastructure and building projects across Singapore. As a Site Manager, you will be part of a dynamic site operations team working on a newly awarded government-related project in the east. The company has a strong track record in structural works, low-rise buildings, and warehouse developments, and is now expanding its project team for this assignment.

Responsibilities

1. Oversee day-to-day site operations, including work supervision and inspections.

2. Accountable for daily reporting, foreman and supervisor coordination, and ensuring work complies with approved plans and specifications.

3. Supervise construction workers, subcontractors, and other tradespeople on-site.

4. Ensure deployment of manpower and machinery is efficient; monitor and control overtime work.

5. Enforce and maintain strict compliance with workplace safety and health regulations with the goal of zero accidents.

6. Maintain excellent site housekeeping and implement safety best practices.

7. Liaise with Project Manager, Project Director, consultants, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.

8. Resolve site issues and provide solutions for delays, design discrepancies, or other construction-related challenges.

9. Ensure all works are conducted with valid permits, licenses, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.

10. Track and manage materials, tools, and equipment procurement and inventory.

11. Control and reduce site waste, aligned with internal policies.

12. Monitor resource usage and project costs to keep work within budget.

Requirements

1. Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Building Construction, or a related field.

2. 5 to 10 years of relevant working experience, preferably in building construction (structural and architectural).

3. Strong knowledge in construction methods, materials, and structural systems.

4. Prior experience in low-rise, warehouse, or institutional building projects is highly preferred.

5. Mandarin-speaking candidates are preferred due to project coordination needs.

6. Able to work independently and lead a site team with a proactive, problem-solving attitude.

7. Willing to work on-site daily and perform hands-on supervision.
