Job description

As Site Manager, you are the key link between Vallen and the assigned customer account. You are based at the customer site, thoroughly understanding the customer’s indirect material supply chain to rapidly grasp commercial opportunities and requirements at the very beginning. You escalate these opportunities to the internal teams and work hand-in-hand with them and the customer to initiate, execute and manage commercial programs. Your knowledge on supply chain combined with your communication skills, relationship building skills, entrepreneurship, influencing and analytical abilities shape how your customer account grows.


What will you deliver?

  • Ensure smooth operations for onsite activities such as toolcrib and vending machine management, delivery performance, return-to-vendor, non-conformance solving, etc.
  • Ensure all customer enquiries, such as RFQs or back orders, and onsite problems are addressed timely.
  • Forecast customer’s demand for indirect materials and timely communicate internally on customer’s operational activities and needs.
  • Effectively propose and manage commercial programs, such as cost saving opportunities, through closely monitoring the customer’s supply chain requirements.
  • Be the face of Vallen to the customer by arranging and participating in meetings with the customer on a regular basis or as required.
  • Partner with the internal teams to ensure world class customer service is achieved and your team always represents the Vallen brand to the highest level.
  • Ensure compliance with Vallen’s sales and operations policies and procedures.
  • Create an environment that encourages and rewards teamwork and collaboration, both internally and externally.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related discipline
  • Deep knowledge about supply chain operations
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to think strategically and communicate effectively with all levels of management
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and apply problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and work effectively under deadlines
  • Understanding of financial concepts such as EBIT and working capital
