Job description

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for supervising and executing civil and structural works in accordance with LTA specifications, approved design drawings, and authority regulations. Liaise closely with LTA Officers, Consultants, and Project Stakeholders to ensure works are carried out safely, on schedule, and in compliance with regulatory and contract requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES:
Liaise and coordinate with LTA’s Resident Engineers (RE), Resident Technical Officers (RTO), consultants, and relevant government agencies for work inspections and approvals.

  • Plan, supervise, and monitor site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project timeline and quality standards, especially for underground and road-related works.

  • Supervise civil and structural works including:

    • Earthworks and excavation (including deep excavation and temporary works)

    • Rock blasting and bored piling

    • Sheet piling and strutting works

    • Ground improvement techniques (e.g., Jet Grouting, Deep Soil Mixing)

    • RC and steel structural works (viaducts, tunnels, retaining walls, bridges)

    • Roadworks, utilities diversion, and reinstatement

  • Coordinate with M&E and Architectural teams to integrate services within structural elements.

  • Ensure compliance with LTA specifications, safety protocols (WSH), environmental requirements, and quality standards.

  • Assist in the preparation and submission of site reports, method statements, inspection checklists, and other documentation required by LTA.

  • Monitor and track progress using Microsoft Project or equivalent scheduling tools.


PERSONAL COMPETENCIES:
Dynamic, positive and forward-thinking personality. Good work integrity, follows instruction and work cohesive with site team.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
Proficient in Microsoft Office/Projects, Autodesk AutoCAD/Revit.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
Excellent at reading and understanding construction plans and drawings.

MAJOR STUDY/SPECIALIST (EDUCATION):
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
