Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and responsible Site Engineer to coordinate façade installation works, monitor project progress, ensure quality and safety compliance, and support the timely completion of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

Site Supervision & Project Coordination

• Supervise and coordinate daily site activities, particularly façade, curtain wall, aluminum and glazing installation works.

• Monitor site progress to ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, project specifications and construction schedules.

• Coordinate with main contractors, subcontractors, consultants and other trades to ensure smooth site operations.

• Plan and arrange manpower, materials, equipment and resources to meet project requirements.

• Attend site meetings, coordination meetings and progress reviews with relevant stakeholders.

• Identify and resolve site-related technical issues to minimize delays and disruptions.

Technical & Engineering Support

• Review construction drawings, shop drawings, method statements and technical specifications.

• Ensure installation works comply with approved drawings, project requirements and applicable standards.

• Coordinate with design and engineering teams to resolve technical discrepancies and site installation issues.

• Conduct site inspections, measurements and verification of completed works.

• Assist in preparing technical submissions, inspection requests and relevant engineering documentation.

• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors on technical matters and material requirements.

Quality Control & Safety Compliance

• Monitor workmanship and installation quality to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.

• Conduct regular site inspections and follow up on defects, non-conformances and corrective actions.

• Ensure site activities comply with workplace safety and health requirements and approved safe work procedures.

• Work closely with the site safety team to identify hazards and implement appropriate preventive measures.

• Support quality inspections, testing, handover and defect rectification activities.

Project Progress & Reporting

• Monitor daily work progress, manpower deployment and material utilization.

• Prepare daily site reports, progress updates and other relevant project documentation.

• Track project milestones and highlight potential delays or technical issues to the Project Manager.

• Coordinate material delivery schedules and ensure materials are available for installation.

• Assist in monitoring subcontractor performance and site productivity.

• Support project completion, testing, commissioning and handover activities.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Building Engineering or a related discipline.

• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant site engineering or construction experience.

• Experience in façade, curtain wall, aluminum, glazing or architectural building envelope works will be an added advantage.

• Familiarity with Singapore's construction practices, site coordination procedures and safety requirements.

• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings and technical specifications.

• Good knowledge of construction methods, installation procedures and quality control practices.

• Strong coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.

• Able to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced site environment.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD will be advantageous.

• Willing to work at various project sites across Singapore.
