Job summary

Manpower Staffing Services (Singapore) Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks an Electrical Engineer to read electrical drawings, coordinate sub-contractors, and review contract specs for variations. You will perform engineering design, load and fault calculations, and resolve installation issues during testing.

With 1 year UPS industry experience, you will participate in site meetings and assist the Project/Site/Construction Manager in monitoring progress. MRT project exposure is a bonus.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 1 year experience in UPS industry.
• Experience in project management for industrial/commercial projects.
• MRT project experience is a bonus.
• Knowledge of street lighting design is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Capable of reading electrical drawings and schematic diagrams.
• Coordinate with sub-contractors on project matters to ensure smooth site execution.
• Review contract specifications and submit variation orders as required.
• Perform engineering design, and load/fault calculations.
• Resolve technical issues during installation, commissioning and testing.
• Ensure installation aligns with approved shop drawings, method statements, and standards.
• Attend site meetings with clients and subcontractors to discuss issues.
• Assist Project/Site/Construction Manager with progress monitoring.

Job description

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Capable of reading electrical and drawing schematic diagram drawing.

To coordinate and liaise with sub-contractor on project related matters to ensure to smooth execution of site work.

Able to review and understand contract specification, prepare and submit variation order as according to the requirement.

Able to perform engineering design, load and fault calculation.

Able to resolve technical issues related to installation, commissioning and testing

Ensure the installation works are done according to the approved shop drawing, method statement, project specifications and relevant standards.

Attend regular site meetings with Clients/Sub-contractors to discuss and resolve the site matters.

To assist Project/Site/Construction Manager on handling and monitoring the project progress.

Qualifications and Knowledge:

• ITE/Diploma/Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
• 1year experience working in UPS related industry
• Experience in project management handling for industrial or commercial purpose.
• Experience in MRT Project is a bonus.
• Knowledge in designing phases or street lighting works related is a bonus.
