A leading engineering firm is seeking a Diaphragm Wall Site Engineer. The role involves reviewing civil drawings, supervising construction activities, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Candidates should have relevant experience, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to coordinate with various teams to resolve technical issues throughout the project phases.
Candidate must have working experience with Diaphragm Wall Site Engineer.
Ø Review civil and structural working drawings and shop drawings in connection with SEM and steel structure shop drawings during the pre-construction phase to prepare construction methods, identify risks, and promote strategies and alternative methodologies to mitigate them.
Ø Organize regular meetings with the sub-contractor's technical teams to resolve technical problems during pre-construction and construction phases.
Ø Work closely with the design team and LTA/QPS (client) to resolve execution issues, providing appropriate proposals with presentations or sketches.
Ø Prepare method statements for construction work, including risk assessments (RA) and safe work procedures (SWP).
Ø Prepare RFIs for site inspections related to construction, MPI tests, welding works, and post-concrete works, and participate in site inspections with QP.
Ø Review rebar BBS prepared by the sub-contractor in compliance with standards and shop drawings for roof slabs, steel structures, and corbel details for precast installation.
Ø Supervise the construction of structures such as pile caps, underground tanks, base slabs, and approximately 12m high columns, including corbels, RC beams, capping beams, RC and PC beam connections, ramps, steel and RC struts, hanging sumps, and staircases.
Ø Review and supervise site work related to surface water drain and waterproofing shop drawings.
Ø Assist the construction manager in planning and preparing daily progress reports.
Ø Track and optimize manpower for each work activity.
Ø Prepare conceptual drawings for steel decking or other temporary structures on-site and review shop drawings submitted by the sub-contractor, supervising installation.
Ø Review conceptual drawings and supervise the installation of bracing connections between permanent plunge-in columns for top-down construction.
Ø Review sub-contractor shop drawings for steel struts and supervise installation work.
