Job summary

SHANGHAI TUNNEL ENGINEERING CO (SINGAPORE) PTE LTD is seeking a Site Engineer to oversee construction activities and ensure progress follows master and detailed work programmes. You will coordinate with the Professional Engineer on temporary works and liaise with consultants to resolve technical issues with subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant construction site operations experience.
• Good knowledge of construction methods and site coordination.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and monitor site construction activities to ensure progress aligns with master and detailed work programmes.
• Coordinate with the Professional Engineer (PE) on temporary works matters.
• Liaise with consultants, including Qualified Persons (QPs), to resolve technical issues and coordinate site activities with subcontractors.
• Identify, assess, and resolve technical and engineering issues encountered during construction.
• Provide technical guidance to site supervisors to ensure progress meets schedule and quality standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and follow up on outstanding technical issues to ensure timely resolution.
• Prepare and review method statements, technical reports, and other construction-related documents as required.
• Monitor and manage workers' activities to ensure compliance with site safety requirements and maintain good housekeeping.
• Supervise ongoing site activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, safety requirements, and project timelines.
