Site Engineer

General Overview

Assist the Project Manager on project site work by focusing on construction, safety quality management, and project coordination of projects and maintenance works, ensuring smooth work progression and completion within target time.

Responsibilities

• Prepare method statements.
• Liaise with stakeholders (clients, consultants) on permits, drawings, and design matters. Ensure quality of construction work is in accordance with the Company’s Integrated Management System, specifications, and legislative requirements.
• Conduct site inspection/audit on sub-contractors/vendors to ensure work follows approved method statements and specifications & proper sequence of work.
• Perform site inspections ensuring work is carried out according to project specifications and construction drawings/final approved drawings from authorities.
• Lead a team of supervisors for work coordination with main/sub-contractors and/or authorities and/or consultants on project progress and technical issues.
• Plan and deploy resources such as manpower, machinery, equipment, and materials.
• Prepare progress reports.
• Ensure project compliance with regulations and client specifications. Adhere to safety and health regulations aiming for zero accidents in the workplace.

Requirements

• Work experience in rigid inclusion, piling, wharf superstructure, drainage works, electrical & communication works, concrete foundation works for Civil Infrastructure Projects.
• Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering/Construction Engineering (Civil) or equivalent.
• Familiarity with local standards and safety aspects in the construction industry.
• Strong team management and leadership skills.
• Problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• 5.5 days working week.
• Project site located at Tuas.
