Job description

Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Site Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team, the Engineer will perform a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the assigned department, ensuring timely and accurate test results with minimal supervision.

This role is based in Sungei Kadut Loop, Singapore.

Responsibilities
  • Operate NDT testing onsite, including test arrangement, testing, and reporting.
  • Provide counsel to coworkers and customers requiring critical data analysis.
  • Be responsible for SINGLAS Accreditation and assist in the professional development of novice technicians and engineers.
  • Utilize a range of skills, methods, procedures, and materials in advanced testing analysis.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings and technical requirements to reach testing conclusions.
  • Deliver formal and informal presentations on routine testing to diverse stakeholders.
  • Review test reports to ensure laboratories remain compliant and inspection-ready.
  • Develop training materials and deliver technical training to laboratory colleagues.
Skills / Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Material Science, or a related testing field with at least 2 years of relevant post-degree engineering experience, or equivalent academic/professional qualifications.
  • Knowledge of construction site and laboratory safety protocols.
  • Deep understanding of the scope, theories, concepts, and terminology related to the engineering discipline.
  • Specialized knowledge in multiple areas of engineering.
  • Ability to develop technical expertise within Element’s business context.
  • Strong understanding of testing concepts.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
  • Basic algebra and geometry skills are a plus.
  • Class 3 driving license is a plus.
