Job summary

A construction management firm in Singapore is seeking a Project Coordinator to assist in planning and supervising construction works. The ideal candidate will manage project documentation, ensure compliance with quality and safety standards, and liaise with clients and subcontractors. This role is critical to delivering projects on time and within budget.

Job description

1. Assist Project Manager in project planning, implementation and to coordinate all construction works on the project site are in accordance with the master and detailed work program.

2. Prepare, plan and submit project related documents, such as schedules, method statement, monthly report, etc.

3. Instruct the supervisor about the daily schedule of works to carry out.

4. Review project specifications, technical clarifications, and construction drawings to determine work requirements.

5. To supervise the execution of the construction works and ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with contract specification/bills of quantities, proper design approval, construction drawings, company’s Quality, Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety (QEOSH) practices and all other contract documents.

6. Identify and report to the site management team of any foreseeable risk, hazards, mistake, unsafe acts, or unsafe work conditions arising from the workplace or work processes.

7. Address delays and emergencies, ensuring timely instructions and effective, safe, and economical methods.

8. To coordinate and liaise with Client’s representatives, Subcontractors, Suppliers, etc. on all project aspects (including the arrangements of equipment and machineries) and to provide all technical and non-technical resolutions followed by documentation.

9. Provide regular updates on project status including development, potential risks, and recommend improvements to the Project Manager.

10. Liaise with client for site inspections, submission of necessary technical reports and ensure necessary records are maintained at site.

11. Assist Contracts Department (QS) in verifying progress payments and claims.

12. Asist to oversee the effective management of project activities to assure timely delivery, cost within budget, and low wastage.

13. Establish proper and effective document control system, maintain and conduct reviews of detail drawings, project documents and specifications.

14. Document and raise up promptly any modifications in project specifications, scope of work, and design alterations.

15. Carry out regular inspections to ensure the project is completed in line with schedule, quality standards, client’s specifications, and statutory requirements.

16. Perform any ad-hoc duties that are construction-related.

17. Comply with company policies, QEOHS policies, GGBS policy, and Law of Singapore from time to time.
