A marine engineering firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced engineer to provide support for the shipbuilding division. Responsibilities include assisting in marketing, supporting tender exercises, and reviewing contracts. The ideal candidate should hold a degree in Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture, possess over 5 years of relevant experience, and be proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office. This role may require travel for technical meetings.

Responsibilities:
* Provide engineering support and assist the marketing team in retaining existing clients while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities for the shipbuilding division
* Support both commercial newbuilding and ship repair teams in tender exercises for newbuild and vessel conversion projects
* Review contracts, technical specifications, and equipment requirements to ensure alignment with design obligations
* Develop basic design concepts to support newbuilding tender submissions
* Prepare drawing schedules and coordinate technical meetings with clients, classification societies, designers, vendors, and system integrators
* Implement design and engineering production plans for awarded newbuilding projects
* Interpret classification rules and maritime regulations, with the ability to read and analyze technical design drawings
* Work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment
Requirements:
* Diploma or Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field
* Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience in the marine or offshore industry
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD
* Sound understanding of shipbuilding processes and project lifecycles
* Strong ability to comprehend technical specifications and engage in technical discussions with clients
* Analytical mindset with strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Willingness to travel to countries such as Indonesia, Taiwan, and others for technical meetings
