The National University of Singapore (NUS) is pleased to invite applications from early career researchers for theSingapore National Research Foundation (NRF) Postdoctoral Award, Singapore’spremium national postdoctoral schemefor outstanding researchers seeking their first or second postdoctoral appointment.

About the Award

The NRF Postdoctoral Award is a highly competitive and prestigious national initiative in Singapore supported by the Singapore National Research Foundation to attract and support exceptional early career researchers. As a recipient, you will have the opportunity to conduct innovative research at NUS, Singapore’s flagship university, with comprehensive funding and institutional support. Awardees will receive a research grant of SGD $250,000 and a competitive annual salary with an employment contract of up to four years.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Displayed exceptional intellectual ability to produce original work of the highest quality, especially in AI+X domains, quantum technologies, materials and fabrication, sustainability, healthcare, etc.
  • Possess a PhD in a STEM discipline.
  • No more than 3 years of post-PhD research experience at the time of application.
  • The award is contingent upon taking up a full-time postdoctoral position at NUS before 31 December 2025.

Evaluation Process and Criteria:

Applications will be reviewed by expert evaluation panel, and shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview. Assessment criteria include, but are not limited to the research proposal quality, publication record, achievements and accolades, leadership potential.
