Job summary

BNY Summer Internship Program in the Office of the COO offers a dynamic 10-week experience designed to accelerate development, build professional networks, and expose interns to the core functions that power a leading global financial services institution.

From day one, interns are immersed in BNY's collaborative culture through onboarding, mentorship, and meaningful project work across governance, operations, and AI-driven initiatives.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate degree program with a focus on business-related and/or technology-related majors preferred.
• Graduating in Dec 2027 or May 2028 (U.S.).
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
• Does not require sponsorship for employment visa status (now or in the future) in the country where applying.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day activities and strategic initiatives within the Chief Operating Office (COO).
• Conduct research and analysis on operational processes, performance metrics, and business priorities.
• Help track action items, risks, milestones, and deliverables across ongoing projects.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
• Assist with documentation of business procedures, workflows, and governance materials.
• Support AI initiatives by researching use cases, documenting opportunities, and helping teams understand where adoption could improve processes or decision-making.
