Job summary

GlobalFoundries is offering an internship focused on supporting the characterization, validation, and analysis of silicon photonic devices in a collaborative R&D environment. You will gain hands-on experience with optical and electrical test equipment, data analysis, and semiconductor testing while working with engineers and project teams.

The role requires actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Optical Engineering, and availability for 16–24 weeks starting

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Optical Engineering.
• Must be in good academic standing and able to work 40 hours/week.
• Available for a 16–24 week internship starting January 2027.

Responsibilities

• Assist in optical and electrical testing of silicon photonic devices at chip and wafer levels.
• Support execution of test plans and ensure accurate data collection.
• Analyze test data and prepare summaries and reports for engineers.
• Help troubleshoot test-related issues and maintain lab setups.
• Contribute to automated test solutions and data collection tools.
