Job Summary
Perform high-speed simulation and signal integrity analysis for AI server platforms, collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize high-speed interfaces and support testing through to mass production.
Responsibilities
- Perform system- and board-level high-speed simulation, signal integrity analysis, and validation for AI server platforms to ensure optimal performance.
- Analyze and optimize PCIe Gen5/Gen6, DDR5, Ethernet, and other high-speed interfaces to enhance signal quality and reliability.
- Conduct pre-layout and post-layout simulations including channel analysis, eye diagrams, jitter, crosstalk, and impedance analysis to identify and resolve signal issues.
- Define PCB stack-up, routing constraints, differential-pair requirements, and high-speed design guidelines to support robust hardware design.
- Execute high-speed signal measurement, validation, debugging, and correlate simulation results with lab testing to ensure design accuracy.
- Collaborate closely with Motherboard, Power, Thermal, Mechanical, and PCB Layout teams to integrate signal integrity considerations across disciplines.
- Support Engineering Validation Test (EVT), Design Validation Test (DVT), and Production Validation Test (PVT) phases by troubleshooting and facilitating transition to mass production.
Required competencies and certifications
- Demonstrate 5+ years of experience in high-speed simulation and signal integrity analysis within servers, HPC, or high-performance electronic systems.
- Apply strong knowledge of PCIe Gen5/Gen6, DDR5, and high-speed serial interfaces to optimize system performance.
- Utilize simulation tools such as Ansys HFSS/SIwave, Cadence Sigrity, Keysight ADS, or equivalents for signal integrity analysis.
- Interpret S-parameters, insertion/return loss, crosstalk, jitter, eye diagrams, and channel modeling to diagnose and improve signal paths.
- Perform high-speed PCB simulation and lab validation to confirm design integrity.
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience with high-density GPU server platforms, such as enterprise HGX or accelerator architectures, to support advanced computing environments.
