Short Video Director (Creative Planning / Shooting / Editing)

We are looking for a Short Video Director with proven experience on Chinese short video platforms (such as Douyin, Xiaohongshu, or Kuaishou), who can effectively translate successful Chinese content strategies into the Singapore and Southeast Asian markets, especially platforms like TikTok and Instagram.

You’ll be fully responsible for the end-to-end production of short-form video content—from ideation and scripting, to filming and post-production. This role is based in Singapore, and we offer work visa sponsorship, accommodation, and round-trip flights.

We provide professional-grade photography and filming equipment.

• Develop and produce compelling short-form video content aligned with brand values and product features
• Localize content strategies from Chinese platforms to Southeast Asian platforms (TikTok, etc.)
• Write video scripts and storyboards with strong narrative structure and brand tone consistency
• Handle full-cycle production: filming, lighting setup, on-site direction, and post-production editing
• Edit videos with attention to color grading, sound design, subtitles, effects, and pacing
• Work closely with the marketing team to align content with campaign strategies
• Monitor content performance and continuously optimize video formats and themes
• Stay on top of content trends in the beauty industry across different platforms
• Manage visual content assets and maintain an organized content library

• Mandatory: Experience creating content for Chinese short video platforms (e.g. Douyin, Xiaohongshu, Kuaishou)
• Strong ability to adapt Chinese content strategies for TikTok and Southeast Asian audiences
• Skilled in shooting techniques: lighting, composition, framing, and on-camera direction
• Proficient in editing software: Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or equivalent
• Scriptwriting and storytelling skills with a clear, engaging content structure
• Strong aesthetic sense, trend awareness, and creative thinking
• Interest or basic knowledge in skincare and beauty industries is preferred
• Bonus: Ownership of photography or video equipment
• Ability to independently manage projects from concept to execution
• Willing to relocate or work in Singapore and thrive in a cross-cultural team
• Excellent time management and communication skills

• Competitive salary: SGD 4,000 – 6,000 (depending on experience and skillset)
