Responsibilities

Team Supervision & Leadership

  • Supervise and guide team members within your section, ensuring efficient daily operations
  • Work closely with the Shop Supervisor / Shop Manager to align section goals with overall store targets
  • Motivate and develop staff by providing ongoing training, feedback, and performance assessments

Monitor and Support Team Performance

  • Support the Shop Supervisor / Shop Manager in tracking team performance, ensuring that goals are met and individual development needs are addressed
  • Help maintain a positive work environment by motivating and recognizing team members' achievements
  • Offer problem-solving assistance when needed to ensure smooth operations and overcome any team-related challenges

Customer Service Excellence

  • Ensure the highest standard of customer service by engaging with customers and addressing their needs
  • Resolve customer complaints or issues promptly, ensuring a positive experience
  • Lead by example to create a customer-first environment and encourage team members to go above and beyond

Sales & Performance Management

  • Achieve section sales targets by promoting products, encouraging upselling, and providing excellent product knowledge
  • Monitor sales performance and work with the Shop Supervisor / Shop Manager to implement strategies to meet KPIs
  • Ensure that team members are fully aware of sales goals and work together to exceed expectations

Inventory Management

  • Ensure that the section is well-stocked and inventory levels are maintained to meet customer demand
  • Perform regular inventory checks and coordinate with the Shop Supervisor / Shop Manager to manage stock replenishment
  • Assist with the ordering process to avoid stockouts or overstocking

Store Operation & Safety

  • Assist with store opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and security protocols
  • Ensure the section is clean, organized, and adheres to health and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with the Shop Supervisor / Shop Manager to ensure smooth store operations
Requirements
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory role within the retail industry, preferably in a customer-facing environment
  • Proven track record of meeting sales targets and KPIs
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a passion for customer satisfaction
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills; good decision-making abilities
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of inventory management and store operations
  • Ability to handle cash and other financial transactions accurately
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven with a positive attitude
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team
