Qualifications

• Strong technical background in naval architecture or marine engineering.
• 4 to 5 years of experience in a similar role in a reputable shipyard.
• Experience in yard production is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Engage and guide subcontracting officers promoting teamwork.
• Review and manage subcontract financial stability.
• Generate and review RFQs for subcontractors.

Job description

Job Responsibilities

• Able to work independently, engage and communicate efficiently and guide Subcontracting Officers and promote team work.
• Improve/expand the subcon tariffs for all trades.
• Work closely with other departments to support yard operations.
• Generate /review RFQs, check sub-con draft bills, negotiate and finalise quotations/draft bills with the subcontractors.
• Control and manage subcon draft bills and invoices for timely settlement/payment.
• Review and monitor sub-cons financial stability, identify risk areas prior to engage for their services.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree or Diploma in Naval Architect or marine engineering or similar qualification with strong technical background.
• At least 4 to 5 years’ experience in similar position/capacity with a reputable shipyard.
• With some experience in yard production will be an advantage.
• Good in computer skills
• Able to work in Indonesia, Batam full time.
• Able to communicate in Bahasa will be an advantage.
