Roles & Responsibilities:
- Full spectrum of Chemical Tanker Operation.
- Establish standard practice of Chemical Operation Division.
- Regional PIC for port information.
- Supervise and coordinate planning and executions of cargo operations.
- Appointment of Agents (World-wide).
- Give instructions to Ships and Agents.
- Visit the vessels for briefing with Master for safety and smooth operation.
- Visit ports to attend agent’s KPI meeting.
- Assessment of Vessels’ Port Disbursement.
- Attend periodical meetings with Japan HQ.
- Compile periodical operation result and financial performance.
- Ensure proper monthly closing process for accounting and present reports to Japan HQ.
- Identify performance trends, inefficiencies and improvement opportunities across Chemical tanker operations using Microsoft Office and other relevant IT tools.
- Assist and maintain interactive dashboards and regular reports.
- Communicate and coordinate with Japan HQ on operation-related matters and Japanese stakeholders (Charterers, Ship Owners and local agents).
Requirements:
- Knowledge of chemical tanker operations and hands-on exposure to actual Operations
- Knowledge of accounting and documentation control (Practical experience or relevant qualifications in accounting is preferred.)
- Good communicator and team player.
- Able to converse in English as well as Native-level proficiency in Japanese to liaise with Japan HQ and Japanese Charterers, Ship Owners and Vendors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Maritime Operations Software.
