An established industry player is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage daily shipping operations. The role involves coordinating local and international shipments, preparing essential shipping documents, and liaising with freight forwarders and customs agents to ensure compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree in logistics or supply chain management, with 2-3 years of relevant experience. This position offers a dynamic work environment where your organizational skills and attention to detail will contribute to the efficiency of shipping processes and logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate daily outbound and inbound shipments (local & international).
Prepare and verify all shipping documents (e.g., invoices, packing lists, BL/AWB, COO, FTA forms).
Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs agents to ensure timely pickup and delivery.
Negotiate freight charges, check freight forwarder invoices for accuracy / resolution of invoice disputes or queries for each shipments handle and ensure timely invoicing submit to finance to arrange payments.
Ensure shipments comply with international trade regulations and customer requirements.
Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues or delays.
Assist in providing accurate shipment cost and preparation/arrangement updates for reporting purpose.
Work closely with internal departments (Sales, Production, QC, Warehouse) for smooth shipment planning.
Support continuous improvement initiatives in shipping processes and logistics efficiency.
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding.
Familiar with international shipping procedures, Incoterms, payment term and export/import documentation, customs clearance processes and legal/regulatory requirements.
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems
Detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
Knowledge of LC, BOE, and BG processes is an added advantage
