Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate daily outbound and inbound shipments (local & international).
  2. Prepare and verify all shipping documents (e.g., invoices, packing lists, BL/AWB, COO, FTA forms).
  3. Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs agents to ensure timely pickup and delivery.
  4. Negotiate freight charges, check freight forwarder invoices for accuracy, resolve invoice disputes or queries, and ensure timely invoicing to finance for payment arrangements.
  5. Ensure shipments comply with international trade regulations and customer requirements.
  6. Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues or delays.
  7. Assist in providing accurate shipment cost updates and preparation/arrangement reports.
  8. Collaborate with internal departments (Sales, Production, QC, Warehouse) for smooth shipment planning.
  9. Support continuous improvement initiatives in shipping processes and logistics efficiency.

Requirements:

  1. Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  2. Minimum 2–3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding.
  3. Familiar with international shipping procedures, Incoterms, payment terms, export/import documentation, customs clearance, and legal/regulatory requirements.
  4. Good communication and negotiation skills.
  5. Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems.
  6. Detail-oriented, well-organized, and capable of working under pressure with tight deadlines.
  7. Knowledge of LC, BOE, and BG processes is an added advantage.
