Job description

Our client is a well known trading company dealing with Agro products, steel, Iron, etc. They have an immediate requirement for aSHIPPING DOCUMENTATION EXECUTIVE(Import).

Document Preparation and Review:

Preparing, reviewing, and ensuring accuracy of all import LC documentation, including applications,drafts, and final documents, in line with UCP regulations.

Coordination with Stakeholders:

Liaising with banks to ensure smooth processing of LCs and timely shipment of goods.

Requesting and ensuring timely issuance of LCs from the issuing bank, and coordinating amendments if required.

Checking documents against the LC terms and conditions to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Discrepancy Management:

Identifying and resolving discrepancies in documents, coordinating with the issuing bank and other parties to rectify issues and facilitate payment.

Facilitating the payment process under the LC, including verifying documents and coordinating with the finance department.

Maintaining accurate records of all LC transactions, including copies of documents, payment details, and communication logs.

Ensuring compliance with all relevant import-export laws and regulations.

Coordinating with the logistics team to ensure timely shipment of goods and proper documentation for customs clearance.

Maintaining clear and effective communication with all stakeholders and providing regular updates on LC status.

Job Requirement:

Strong understanding of Letter of Credit (LC) and UCP regulations.

Excellent knowledge of import-export documentation procedures.

Proficiency in using trade finance software and systems.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Attention to detail and accuracy.

Knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures.

Proficiency in English (written and spoken).

Duties as assigned on adhoc basis to cover colleagues. –

Knowledge of SAP ERP would be preferred.

Job location : Raffles Place

Work week : Mon-Fri

Salary : upto S$ 5K pm (open for negotiations)
