Job description

Our client - A trusted name in logistics and freight forwarding, is seeking a proactive and experienced Assistant Manager to support their expanding operations. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with the Managing Director and lead a dynamic team in the sea freight division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle permit declarations for import/export shipments via TradeNet

  • Ensure all shipping documents (invoices, packing lists, BLs, etc.) are accurate and compliant before permit submission

  • Coordinate closely with internal teams (warehouse, operations) and external parties (freight forwarders, transporters, customs officers)

  • Monitor and follow up on permit approvals and address any issues or rejections promptly

  • Liaise with relevant authorities on customs-related matters and maintain updated knowledge of Singapore import/export regulations

  • Maintain and organize shipping and permit documentation for audits and internal records

  • Support the logistics team in daily operations and administrative tasks when required

Qualifications and Experience:

  • At least Diploma in Logistics, maritime or other relevant course.

  • Proven experience in sea freight operations (import and export) is essential.

  • Strong knowledge of shipping documentation processes and permit requirements in Singapore.
