Are you passionate about ensuring seamless shipping operations? We're expanding our team and looking for a detail-oriented individual to join us as a Shipping Assistant.

Requirements:

  • Minimum GCE 'O' Level
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office-Excel & Words
  • At least 1-2 year of experience in Shipping Documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience in import/export documentation
  • Experience in Tradenet/Tradeweb for permit processing

Job Descriptions:

Import / Export Documentation Duties:

  • Handles all Import/Export Sea Freight / Air Freight documents and prepares necessary documentation.
  • Preparing of Invoices, permits and cargo insurances.
  • Liaise with clients regarding certificates application.
  • Coordination with shipping lines/forwarder – arrange transshipment of containers, checking of vessel schedule for connecting on barges.
  • Bill of Lading draft submission to shipping liners/freight forwarders.
  • Printing of Original Bill of Lading from shipping liner's online platform.
  • Apply and process all types of permit using Tradeweb
  • Back to back Certificate of Origin application via Tradeweb.
  • Submission of the full set of documents to the bank for DIP, D/A, L/C terms.
  • Scanning of documents into in-house server/filing.
  • Preparation of Local Delivery documentation.
  • Liaising with the client on delivery arrangement
  • Coordinating with the warehouse on the goods collection/delivery.
  • Monitoring shipping line nomination of transshipment containers.
  • Data entry using in-house system, update on import containers.
  • Coordinate with transporters, and arrange clearance for LCL from ports to Client’s warehouse.
  • Transportation job arrangement assignments.
  • Support any other ad hoc assignments as may require from time to time.
