A leading logistics company is seeking a dedicated procurement specialist to manage cargo clearance, supplier sourcing, and inventory orders. The ideal candidate should have a diploma in logistics and 2-3 years of relevant experience, showcasing excellent communication skills and a proactive approach. This role offers a dynamic work environment with alternating Saturday shifts.
Responsibilities:
Declaration of Cargo Clearance Permit for incoming shipments with compliance from competent authority.
Booking of SFA inspection; follow-up on SFA lab test results.
Booking shipments with freight forwarder for Air/Sea cargo; update of shipment schedules in Google calendar.
Follow-up on shipping documents; apply for cargo insurance.
Update Item Master Data when needed by end users; new item code creation; adding BOM.
Assist in ordering inventory, supplies, equipment, and services for all departments. Securing the best price for all purchases without jeopardizing quality.
Assist in generating and submitting purchase orders in accordance with the company policies and procedures.
Assist in confirming all orders and their subsequent delivery.
Assist to source for alternate suppliers when there is a shortage and new supplies when there is
requirement.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Diploma in Procurement/Supply Chain/Logistic or equivalent qualifications.
At least 2-3 years relevant working experience in a similar capacity.
Knowledge of SAP will be an add on point.
Resourceful, self-driven, proactive and independent.
Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
Good team player and able to work well under stress in a fast-paced environment.

Able to start work within short notice.
Working hours from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm on Mondays – Fridays,
alternate Saturdays off, from 8.30 m to 12.00 pm
