Ship supply manager

About the role

Our client, vast marine & offshore supplies pte.ltd', is seeking a talented and experienced Ship Supply Manager to join their team in the North-East Region. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement, inventory management, and distribution of supplies to ships operating within the region.

What you'll be doing

• Managing the procurement process to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of necessary supplies for client ships

• Maintaining and optimizing inventory levels to meet customer demands while minimising excess stock

• Coordinating the efficient distribution of supplies to ships, ensuring deliveries are made on time and in full

• Liaising with internal teams, clients, and suppliers to resolve any issues and maintain strong relationships

• Analysing data and generating reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement

• Continuously looking for ways to streamline operations and enhance the overall supply chain management process

What we're looking for

• Substantial experience (2+ years) in a similar ship supply or procurement management role within the Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics industry

• Strong understanding of the Purchasing, Procurement & Inventory sub-industry and the associated regulations, processes, and best practices

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to liaise effectively with internal and external parties

• Proficient in data analysis and reporting to drive informed decision-making

• Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and deliver results within tight deadlines

• Adaptable and resourceful in responding to changing business needs
