Job summary

A chemical processing company in Singapore is seeking a qualified individual to operate and monitor plant equipment. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in Chemical Engineering and at least two years of relevant experience in a fast-paced setting. Key responsibilities include following safety procedures, troubleshooting, and ensuring efficient production. Shift work is necessary.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years work experience in a chemical processing environment.
• Experience in polymerization and/or extrusion is advantageous.
• Possess basic knowledge of chemical processing.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and control plant equipment and systems.
• Follow documented procedures and EHS regulations.
• Report unsafe plant conditions to supervisor.

Job description

Duties and responsibilities:

• Operate, monitor, and control plant equipment and systems to ensure safe and efficient production.
• Apply chemical plant operation knowledge to follow documented procedures (e.g. Standard operating procedure-SOP, EHS regulations, risk assessment).
• Carry out minor troubleshooting and have good knowledge to safely prepare equipment for maintenance
• Capable to recognize unsafe plant condition and promptly report any near miss / deviations / incidents to his supervisor.
• To demonstrate strong ownership, team spirit, challenge and sincerity.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Nitec in Chemical engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years work experience in a chemical processing environment. Experience in polymerization and/or extrusion is advantageous.
• Possess basic Knowledge of chemical processing with working knowledge of ISO14001, ISO9001/IATF16949, ISO 45001, SS651.
• Able to work shift in a fast-paced environment.
