Qualifications

Job description

Operate the process to meet the conditions specified in manuals/ instructions.

Operate the process equipment at site in accordance with the operation plan.

Take measures to improve production status and equipment performance on productivity and quality after approval of senior.

Patrol the plant process, confirm the condition of processes and equipment, and report disordered matters to senior shift technicians.

Prepare and organize patrol records.

Take samples for analysis of products and process evaluation.

Report all incidents, near misses, deviations from plan, and participate in further investigations when required.

Assist in coordinating daily maintenance planning, and participate in maintenance activities and shutdown/start-up of sections.

Provide support for maintenance group/quality control group if any problems arise.

Work as a Shift Analyst when assigned by supervisor.

Perform the role of auxiliary Fire Fighter.

Requirements:

• Diploma or NITEC in Chemical Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
• Minimum 2 to 3 years' experience in a chemical plant, preferably in polymerization or extrusion units, or a minimum of 2 years in manufacturing plants such as compounding or extrusion.
• Possess basic knowledge of maintenance, chemical engineering, and analytical procedures.
• Experience in operation via DCS systems is advantageous.
• An effective team player with good communication skills.
• Able to work shifts in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to perform 12-hour rotating shifts (8:30 am to 8:30 pm, morning shift / 8:30 pm to 8:30 am, night shift).
