Job summary

Abbott in Tuas, Singapore, seeks an Associate Microbiologist (Shift) to perform microbiological testing and ensure compliance with GMP, cGMP, GLP, and ISO/IEC 17025 standards. You will support batch release, investigations and cross-functional collaboration to drive quality and efficiency.

You will also act as frontline leader, train staff, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining safety and data integrity across the lab environment in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor level or higher in a relevant science with strong lab skills.
• Diploma holders with at least 3 years in microbiology labs welcomed.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure GMP, cGMP and GLP compliance at all times.
• Perform microbiological testing and release activities.
• Lead investigations and provide technical guidance across shifts.
• Train new hires and assess technical competency.
• Coordinate test scheduling and workload to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Support audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
