A leading manufacturing company in Singapore is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to oversee SHEQ operations. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in the manufacturing sector, strong knowledge of ISO standards, and excellent workforce management skills. This role requires a commitment to maintaining product quality and regulatory compliance, as well as effective communication with both the workforce and management.
(A) Key Functions and Responsibilities
1. To monitor the SHEQ dept daily operations.
2. Responsible for the safety, health environment and quality assurance side of the Company.
3. To establish, update and maintain Quality Management System or Manuals (ISO and UN certificates).
4. Responsible for the Management Review meetings in relation to QMS with the departments.
5. Being focal point for customer audits.
6. Assure attainment of business objectives as a team.
7. Work with production team to ensure product standards that will meet our customers' expectations.
8. Maintain and improve housekeeping in all areas.
9. Schedule and communicate information on external QMS audits.
10. Prepare and implement the internal and external audits schedule in relation to QMS.
11. To assess and control non-conformities, including maintenance of appropriate documentation and records.
12. Handle customer complaints and control of all non-confirming products.
13. To monitor quality of product beginning with raw materials, processes and up to the finished products.
14. Maintain and ensure work safety and practices. Continually improve safety record by addressing both physical safety issues and employees safety attitudes.
15. To upkeep with local safety regulations, update the Company guidelines and conduct regular surveys to ensure safety regulation compliance.
16. To work with procurement team to control and assess suppliers and maintenance of Approved Suppliers Record.
17. Develop and maintain effective communication link with the workforce and the management.
18. Ensure a high level of discipline is established and maintained within the operation and take effective action in the event of deviations.
19. Prepare, present and review operational performance and develop action plan for corrective, preventive and improvement.
20. Any other ad-hoc tasks to be assigned by the Management from time to time.
(B) Supplementary Functions
1. Participates on Factory Monthly Review Meeting with production, maintenance, logistic and planner department.
2. To maintain 5S at work place.
3. Checking process monitoring if absent of the inspector.
(C) Skill/Experience
1. Minimum 5 years working experience in manufacturing sector.
2. Knowledge and experience in management and control of workforce.
3. Knowledge and experience in ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 Quality Management System.
4. Must familiar with the local safety regulations.
5. Report writing.
6. Able to plan and delegate.
7. Able to work under pressure.
8. Computer literate.
9. Good command / written in English.
(D) Education
1. At least Diploma / Degree in Material, Science, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering disciplines.
