Job description

Jobscope:

1. Sets up and operates a variety of hand tools such as hammers, files, dremel, vibro-peen tools, drills, presses, low temperature ovens, pullers, and hand grinders to perform operations like blending, chasing threads, deburring, angle checking, coldworking metals, masking, and braze application.

2. Reads and interprets specification manuals, blueprints, templates, and layouts for product specifications including tooling instructions, tolerances, and dimensions. Translates instructions into actionable tasks.

3. Fits and assembles machined metal parts and sub-assemblies using hand and power tools.

4. Manually aligns components for assembly and secures parts with bolts, screws, dowels, or rivets.

5. Verifies dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.

6. Inspects quality and accuracy of work and sets up and operates test equipment (e.g., pressure tests).

7. Performs daily 5S practices and machine preventive maintenance using approved checklists.

8. Performs simple troubleshooting of machines; resolves technical issues where appropriate.

9. Maintains tooling and fixtures, segregates worn-out tooling, and reports to Production Lead for action.

10. Participates in audits, inspections, new product development, and continuous process improvements.

11. Cross-trains in other skills and seeks endorsement to support production needs.

12. Moves between production assignments utilizing multiple skills as needed.

13. Participates in cross-training of colleagues to support production requirements.

14. Observes all safety requirements and reports unsafe practices or conditions immediately.

15. Carries out other duties as assigned.
