Job Description

Responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of ServiceNow solutions, with a strong focus on the ITSM, CMDB, and Integration modules. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to understand their needs and translate them into effective and efficient ServiceNow configurations and customizations. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of our ServiceNow platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Development and Implementation: Design, develop, test, and deploy ServiceNow solutions, including configurations, customizations, workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, UI actions, notifications, and reports.
  • ITSM Module Expertise: Deep understanding and hands-on experience in configuring and customizing ServiceNow ITSM modules, including Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Request Fulfillment, Service Catalog, Knowledge Management, and Service Portal.
  • CMDB Management: Design, implement, and maintain the ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB), ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and relationships between Configuration Items (CIs). Develop processes and workflows to support CMDB governance and data quality.
  • Integration Development: Design and develop integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems using various methods such as REST APIs, SOAP APIs, JDBC, and middleware platforms. Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues.
  • Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Collaborate with business analysts, process owners, and end-users to gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Solution Design: Participate in the design and architecture of ServiceNow solutions, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and alignment with best practices.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Perform thorough testing of developed solutions, including unit testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing. Ensure adherence to quality standards and participate in code reviews.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design documents, configuration guides, and test plans.
  • Platform Maintenance and Support: Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for the ServiceNow platform and its applications. Monitor system performance and identify areas for optimization.
  • Upgrades and Patching: Participate in ServiceNow platform upgrades and patching, ensuring minimal disruption to services and implementing necessary changes and testing.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest ServiceNow features and functionalities and recommend innovative solutions to improve efficiency and user experience.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively within a team environment, collaborating with other developers, administrators, and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML, and other relevant web technologies.
  • Experience with ServiceNow Glide API and other ServiceNow scripting languages.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow Service Portal development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certification in ITSM and/or CMDB.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with other ServiceNow modules such as ITOM, HRSD, or GRC.
  • Experience with scripting languages like Python or PowerShell.
