Job summary

JOINTHIRE SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a technically adept engineer to provide support and troubleshooting for semiconductor equipment and applications. You will address customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and collaborate with partners to meet client needs.

The role includes generating regular performance reports, managing spare parts inventory, and ensuring smooth operations in a 12-hour rotating shift at Tampines. Occasional travel to Malaysia for training is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in semiconductor tools and equipment.
• Strong verbal and written communication to convey technical information.
• Excellent problem-solving ability and customer-oriented service.
• Willing to work in a cleanroom (jumpsuit provided).
• Willing to travel to Malaysia for training (2–4 times per year).

Job Description:

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for equipment and applications
• Addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly
• Collaborate with partners to enhance applications and equipment based on client needs
• Act as a liaison between clients and partners, ensuring customer requirements are met
• Generate regular reports on equipment performance, spare parts usage and customer feedback for management review
• Manage spare parts inventory to ensure sufficient stocks on hand, facilitating smooth operations
• Facilitate effective communication with customers
• Other ad hoc duties as assigned by the company

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
• At least 1 - 2 years of relevant experience
• Working experience in semiconductor tools and equipment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical information
• Excellent problem-solving ability to address technical challenges
• Strong focus in providing customer-oriented service
• Willing to work in the cleanroom environment (with jumpsuit provided)
• Wiling to travel to Malaysia for training purposes, about 2 to 4 times/year

Compensation:

• Work location: Tampines
• Working hours: 12 Hours of Rotating Shift (including Weekends and Public Holidays)
• Day Shift: 9:30am to 9:30pm
• Night Shift: 9pm to 9am
• Night Shift Allowance: $30/night
• Other Monthly Allowances (if applicable, for example Engineer Hardship Allowance up to $720/month, etc.)
