Job description

Reports to: Assistant Manager

Department: Service


Role Objective

The Service Engineer plays a key role in ensuring the efficiency, reliability and optimal performance of ACMV (Air-Conditioning & Mechanical Ventilation) and other relevant systems through preventive and corrective maintenance. This role involves overseeing service maintenance programs, troubleshooting technical issues and providing expert solutions to our critical environment facility clients and commercial clients. The engineer will also support the team in technical matters, documentation and client relationship management to enhance service quality and business growth.


Key Responsibilities

Service Maintenance & Operation:

  • Manage, coordinate and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs for systems that are included in the service maintenance contract including but not limited to ACMV, Electrical and BMS.
  • Supervise and ensure routine maintenance tasks are performed according to schedules and service contracts.
  • Conduct inspections, diagnostic tests and performance evaluations of ACMV equipment to identify potential issues before failures occur.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, industry standards and client requirements.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting:

  • Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis of system failures and operational issues.
  • Provide timely and effective technical support to clients and internal teams.
  • Recommend and implement solutions to improve system performance, reliability and energy efficiency.
  • Guide and support junior engineers and technicians in resolving complex technical challenges.

Client & Stakeholder Management:

  • Liaise with clients, vendors and internal teams to coordinate maintenance works and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, checklists and service reports to clients.
  • Respond to emergency breakdown calls, providing swift and effective resolutions to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct site assessments and recommend system improvements or upgrades to enhance operational efficiency.

Documentation Support:

  • Prepare quotations, technical proposals and service contracts as necessary for new and existing clients.
  • Maintain accurate service records, logs and technical documentation for future reference and compliance.
  • Assist in the development of service strategies and initiatives to improve business performance and customer retention.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related fields).
  • 1 to 2 years of experience as a Service Engineer or a similar role.
  • 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience with ACMV systems.
  • Strong technical understanding of mechanical and electrical systems .
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly responsible, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to adapt to site requirements and perform under high-pressure environments.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • 1 to 2 years of experience as a Senior Service Engineer or similar role.
  • 3 to 4 years of experience working with ACMV systems.
  • Experience in project management, budgeting, and cost estimation .
  • Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) and energy optimization strategies.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and industry best practices
