Job description

Connect Energy partners with a maritime client to look for the following individual to join their Singapore team.

Responsibilities
  • The Service Engineer supports global customers on both Integrated Control Monitoring System (ICMS) as well as propulsion/steering control systems.
  • Involve in providing onboard services, commissioning of refit and retrofit projects, remote guidance/product support to customers, and backend support for the field service team.
  • Maintain good relationships with existing clients.
  • Involve in workshop tests and technical preparation.
  • Generate service reports, update drawings, and cable information database.
  • Manage related administrative work.
  • Ad hoc related duties assigned from time to time.
Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in Electronic/Electrical/Instrumentation.
  • 3 - 6 years experience in Alarm Monitoring and Control Systems as well as good knowledge of computer hardware/peripherals and basic software.
  • Experience onboard ship for automation systems (control and propulsion), system process knowledge, distributed control systems, and power management.
  • Hands-on service on the main engine and thrusters is an added advantage.
  • Good communication skills, independent, and good project management skills.
