Job summary

Viking Life-Saving Equipment PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking a skilled service technician to perform commissioning on boats and davits, and to carry out regular service on related systems. You will engage with customers and shipping agents to ensure clear communication and proper documentation.

You will conduct maintenance, repairs and upgrades on Viking and other manufacturers' equipment, including GRP repairs, sprinkler and air systems, winch and davit components, and release hook cables.

Responsibilities

• Carry out commissioning on new boats and davits.
• Carry out annual, 5 yearly, Re-hooking, Upgrading and related repair and other service on boat and davit.
• Carry out maintenance and repairs of Viking and other products from other manufacturers.
• Carry out GRP repair, maintenance of sprinkler system, Air supply system, bailing system, fixed equipment.
• Loose equipment checks.
• Maintenance of Hook system, hydrostatic membrane unit.
• Maintenance of davit structure, block, supporting structure, wires and fastening, limit switches.
• Winch service, maintenance of winch structure, wire fastening, remote control, electrical installation, holding brake, lowering brake.
• Carry out release hook cable assembly.
• Contact with customers and Shipping agent for boarding.
• Follow-up of service/project assignments from start to completion of final documentation.
• Provide documentation for customers completed assignments.
• Provide full report to the Service Coordinator.
• Other relevant functions given by manager.
