Service Engineer (Marina Mechanical)

Responsibilities:

1. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with marine engines, auxiliary systems, and other vessel components.
2. Perform repairs on inboard/outboard engines, including fuel, cooling, and exhaust systems.
3. Conduct routine maintenance to ensure shipboard systems are in good working order.
4. Maintain cleanliness in ship and engine rooms when onboard.
5. Provide detailed reports on repairs and explain services performed to customers.
6. Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
7. Maintain accurate service records, including parts used and time spent.
8. Collaborate with other technicians and assist in mentoring junior staff.

Requirements:

1. Diploma or technical certification in marine mechanics or a related field.
2. Minimum 2 years of experience in marine service and repair.
3. Strong mechanical skills, with knowledge of marine engines and cargo pumps.
4. Proficient with diagnostic tools and service equipment.
5. Ability to interpret technical manuals and handle physically demanding tasks.
