Service Engineer, ASEAN – Medical Devices & Life-Saving Medical Technology (Global organisation)

The Opportunity

We are hiring a Service Engineer to join a global leader in life-saving medical technologies. Based in the ASEAN region, this role is ideal for someone with hands-on technical expertise in medical devices who is passionate about supporting healthcare professionals through reliable service delivery and technical excellence.

You will work closely with hospitals, clinics, and healthcare providers to ensure the optimal functioning of critical medical devices across cardiopulmonary, respiratory, and advanced software-based platforms.

Role Overview

As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing timely and effective technical service, maintenance, and support for the company’s medical devices in the ASEAN region. You’ll play a key role in improving equipment uptime, ensuring compliance, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

This is a field-based role requiring regular travel to customer sites within the region.

What You Will Do

  • Deliver on-site technical support, installation, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair services for a range of medical devices, including: Cardiopulmonary support equipment , management systems , trauma equipment , advanced medical software and monitoring systems
  • Provide timely responses to service requests to minimise equipment downtime and maintain high standards of customer service.
  • Collaborate with the regional Technical Service Manager and Sales teams to support post-sales activities and customer retention.
  • Maintain accurate service documentation in compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
  • Assist with training and technical guidance for end-users and internal staff when needed.
  • Participate in service improvement initiatives and feedback loops for continuous process optimisation.

What We're Looking For

  • Diploma or Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering , or a related technical field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in a technical service or field support role, ideally within the medical device or MedTech industry .
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a hands-on approach to service delivery.
  • Experience working in hospital or clinical environments , with familiarity in handling sensitive medical equipment and working alongside healthcare professionals.
  • Knowledge of medical device regulations , quality systems, and safety standards is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel across ASEAN to support regional service needs.
  • Effective communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
