A leading company in maritime technology seeks a technically proficient individual to provide support for their systems aboard ships. This role involves troubleshooting, maintaining control systems, and ensuring seamless operation across various technical projects. Candidates with a background in electrical engineering and experience in the maritime or oil & gas sectors will be highly regarded.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
· Provide technical support to address inquiries related to Nordic Systems onboard ships and vessels.
· Perform onboard service visits, including commissioning, annual inspections, and maintenance, based on troubleshooting and feedback from chief engineers and vessel managers.
· Review service reports, customer technical specifications, and assist the sales team with spare part bidding.
· Diagnose and resolve issues with electrical/electronic control systems, including PLC products.
· Read and interpret manuals, schematics, and P&IDs to support technical troubleshooting.
· Lead the preparation and coordination of Inspection Test Reports (ITRs) based on approved electrical completion procedures.
· Maintain and update punch lists, ensuring all resolved items are verified by client representatives.
· Oversee and coordinate site execution activities in line with the work sequence.
· Manage technical issues, drawings, reports, procedures, and other project documentation.
· Enhance engineering capabilities and collaborate with the sales team on project proposals and bidding.
· Select equipment and materials for instrumentation and control systems.
· Plan, execute, and oversee E&I maintenance tasks and overall project delivery.
· Manage subcontractors and other ad hoc activities, while leading technicians onsite to execute projects effectively.
Minimum Requirements
· Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.
· Prior experience in the Maritime/Oil & Gas industries and shipyards will be highly advantageous.
· Excellent verbal and written communication.
· Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Responsible, Meticulous, and able to work under pressure.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.).
· Experienced in PLC/SCADA systems.
· Fluency in English (verbal and written) is essential.
