Role
- To support Sales in all service-related topics and activities, including but not limited to product repairs & its documentation, service data collection, product failure analysis & trouble shooting
- To act as a contact point towards the customer
Responsibilities
On-site
- Uninstall and install Mechanical Seals and other EB products at customer site
- Witness & documentation during commissioning (start-up)
- Explain basic technical matters (such as repairs, failure reasons) to the customer
- Propose product upgrades & conversions in cooperation with Sales & TSS
In-house
- Disassemble, assemble, and clean Mechanical Seals & other EB products and its components
- Observation, inspection and assessment of disassembled products and its components, incl. dimension taking and photographic documentation
- Refurbishment of components (lapping etc.)
- Use various test- and inspection equipment to inspect own or others work
- Take responsibility of timely completion of service job - including packaging & shipment (where required).
Support Repair Offer Preparation
- Create detailed repair BOM and repair proposal as foundation of the repair offer
Troubleshooting
- Lead trouble shooting of seals & systems
- Conduct product failure analysis
Data, Documentation & KPI
- Collect service-related data on-site and in-house, and upload to On Track and other IT systems
- Identify bad actors and take countermeasures
- Full documentation of product repairs incl. creation of both Observation and Inspection Reports
HSE
- Maintain compliance with all applicable HSE requirements, policies & regulations
The supervisor or management may assign other tasks occasionally.
Qualifications
- Experience in process industry, power plants or OEMs (pumps, agitators, …)
- Diploma in Engineering or comparable
- Willing to travel locally and internationally
- Proficiency in MS Office programs
- English reading/writing
- Good inter-personal skills
- Good analytical skills
- Class 3 Driving license
Preferred
- 3+ years of experience in rotating equipment industry, incl. troubleshooting
- Knowledge of sealing technologies and its associated equipment, incl. repairs
- Good communication skills and a team-player mindset
- Pleasant personality with a constructive technical sales approach
- Brings solutions on the table to help resolve & retain difficult customers
- Experience with SAP software
- Able to communicate in English (written and spoken)
