JOB DESCRIPTION:
- To carry out field service attendances to troubleshoot & repair Deck Cranes, Grabs, Windlasses, Hatch Cover Hydraulics, and Davits.
REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate will have solid working experience with marine crane and deck machinery makers such as:
- MacGREGOR
- IHI
- MITSUBISHI
- LIEBHERR
- TTS MARINE
- TSUJI
- HATLAPA
- PUSNES, NIPPON PUSNES
- etc.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Min 5 years' experience in inspection, troubleshooting, and repairing Marine Cranes, Windlasses & other hydraulic systems.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of PLC controlled electro-hydraulic cranes & hydraulic machinery.
- Able to read and comprehend electric and hydraulic diagrams.
- Able to independently troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical problems.
- Able to supervise a team of mechanics and carry out large repair projects as Lead Engineer on board, on voyage, and in Ship Yards.
- Able to write technical reports and communicate with owners' representatives.
- Sailing experience as Electrical Officer (E/O) on bulker vessels equipped with deck cranes will be an added advantage.
- Previous employment as service engineer with one of the leading deck crane manufacturers will be an added advantage.
- Experience with variable frequency drives (VFD) will be an added advantage.
