Qualifications

Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with Customers, ensuring that the Customers’ technical issues and requirements are clearly understood and addressed in an effective and timely manner.
  • Respond to internal and external customer requests for technical issue resolution, using technical product knowledge and analytical skills while adhering to sound engineering principles, standards, practices, and procedures.
  • Prepare and present clear and concise technical instructions, procedures, reports, specifications, and proposals.
  • Communicate with and proactively support the Customer to act on Technical Information notices to enhance the plant.
  • Identify potential failures with support from the 24/7 remote monitoring hub and expert support, and proactively engage Customers to develop countermeasures.
  • Analyze, track, and report monthly Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) data and relevant KPIs for the LTSA, for invoicing and performance monitoring against contractual guarantees and obligations. Recommend corrective actions if necessary.
  • Review and present monthly diagnostic reports to the Customers.
  • Support prospecting, developing, and winning aftermarket sales opportunities.
  • Travel to customer site locations in Singapore and Malaysia to support project and technical meetings.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., Customers, LTSA Program Manager, Technical Advisors, Service Engineering team, Repair Facilities, Local Vendors) to support planning and execution of maintenance activities.
  • Present and discuss plans and schedules for Planned or Unplanned Maintenance.
  • Coordinate and support the dispatch of Parts and Technical Advisory Services.
  • Perform Technical Advisory services related to maintenance activities.
  • In emergencies (including outside normal hours), travel on short notice to provide on-site troubleshooting and support for plant operations and maintenance.
  • Communicate failure data (interviews, pictures, measurements, event logs, data logs) between the Customer and internal stakeholders.
  • Investigate operational problems involving Power Train and Auxiliary systems, analyzing operational, mechanical, instrumentation, and control aspects.
  • Lead or support root cause analysis to determine failure causes and recommend countermeasures to minimize impact.
  • Investigate problems during maintenance, consult with stakeholders, and provide urgent solutions.
  • Summarize findings in clear, logical reports for stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Diploma/Degree in a relevant engineering or technical field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience with Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, or large-scale rotating equipment.
  • Customer service experience interacting with plant personnel.
  • Practical troubleshooting experience on site for rotating equipment.
  • Experience liaising with Field Service and Engineering teams to resolve issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Technical knowledge of Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Turbine Generators, and related systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to develop and write technical instructions, procedures, reports, and proposals.
  • Good communication skills in English; proficiency in Japanese is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
