Job Descriptions:
- Customer Service: Greeting guests warmly, providing menus, and explaining daily specials. Ensuring that customers feel welcomed and attended to throughout their dining experience.
- Order Taking: Accurately taking food and beverage orders from customers and communicating them clearly to the kitchen and bar staff.
- Serving Food and Drinks: Delivering meals and beverages to customers' tables in a timely manner, ensuring proper presentation and quality.
- Table Maintenance: Assisting in keeping tables clean and organised, including clearing away used dishes, resetting tables, and ensuring that utensils and condiments are stocked.
- Menu Knowledge: Familiarising oneself with the restaurant’s menu, including ingredients and preparation methods, to answer customer questions and provide recommendations.
- Handling Payments: Processing customer payments, including cash and credit transactions, and providing receipts. Ensuring accurate billing and handling any discrepancies.
- Communication: Collaborating with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service, relaying special requests or dietary restrictions, and addressing any customer concerns promptly.
- Assisting in Cleanliness: Maintaining overall cleanliness in the dining area, including sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning tables, and organising service areas.
