Build search visibility for a real digital marketing brand—not someone else’s client account.
OOm is looking for a hands‑on SEO Specialist to grow the organic search and AI-search visibility of OOm Agency.
This is an in-house role focused exclusively on OOm’s own website and digital properties. You will not manage external client accounts. Instead, you will work on initiatives where you can directly see the impact of your work on rankings, traffic, brand visibility and qualified enquiries.
You will work across content, on-page, technical, local and off-page SEO, while developing practical experience in Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO). Working closely with our Marketing, Content, Design, SEO and Web Development teams, you will turn search and performance data into actions that improve how OOm is discovered across Google and emerging AI-powered search platforms.
Why Join This Role?
- Work deeply on one brand and understand its audience, services and growth priorities.
- See your recommendations move from research to implementation and measurable results.
- Build experience across SEO, GEO, content, technical SEO and conversion optimisation.
- Contribute to OOm’s approach to emerging search experiences such as Google AI Overviews and ChatGPT.
- Work alongside internal teams across marketing, content, design and web development.
- Grow your SEO expertise without the pressure of managing multiple client accounts.
What You’ll Do
SEO Strategy and Execution
- Conduct keyword research, search-intent mapping, content-gap analysis and competitor research.
- Identify opportunities to improve existing pages and create new pages based on search demand and business priorities.
- Optimise page titles, meta descriptions, headings, URL structures, site architecture and internal linking.
- Support quarterly SEO priorities and turn them into clear, measurable actions.
- Monitor SEO performance and recommend improvements based on data and search trends.
Content and GEO
- Manage the monthly SEO blog content calendar.
- Prepare SEO briefs, content outlines and recommendations for blogs, service pages and landing pages.
- Review and optimise content for search intent, topical coverage, accuracy, structure and internal linking.
- Use approved AI tools to support SEO research, content development and optimisation.
- Support GEO initiatives to improve content structure, entity clarity and visibility across AI-powered search experiences.
- Stay updated on developments in AI-powered search and identify relevant opportunities for OOm.
Technical, Local and Off-Page SEO
- Conduct regular technical SEO checks covering crawlability, indexation, sitemaps, robots directives, canonicals, redirects, structured data, mobile usability and site performance.
- Monitor Google Search Console for crawling, indexing and search-performance issues.
- Coordinate with Web Development teams to implement and verify technical SEO fixes.
- Support backlink research, prospecting and link-quality analysis.
- Maintain and optimise OOm’s Google Business Profile and other relevant local-search listings.
- Help strengthen OOm’s website authority and local search visibility.
Performance and Conversion Optimisation
- Track keyword rankings, organic traffic, qualified enquiries, conversions, backlinks, index coverage, local visibility and AI-search visibility.
- Analyse performance using GA4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, SE Ranking or similar tools.
- Go beyond reporting numbers by identifying what changed, why it may have changed and what should happen next.
- Identify opportunities to improve landing-page copy, calls to action, page structure and user journeys.
- Prepare clear performance updates with key findings, priorities and recommended actions.
- Maintain documentation of SEO activities, implementation changes and key learnings.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with Marketing, Content, Design, SEO and Web Development teams to execute SEO initiatives.
- Share keyword, search-demand and audience-intent insights to support paid media, social media, EDM, brand and campaign activities.
- Adopt approved in-house SEO tools and continuously improve research, execution and reporting workflows.
- Communicate SEO recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For
- Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing, Business or a related field.
- 1–3 years of hands-on SEO experience, either in-house or within an agency.
- Good understanding of on-page, technical, off-page and local SEO fundamentals.
- Experience with keyword research, content optimisation, website audits, link building and SEO reporting.
- Experience using GA4, Google Search Console and at least one SEO platform such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, SE Ranking or similar.
- Familiarity with content marketing and SEO content calendars.
- Working knowledge of WordPress or a similar CMS.
- Basic understanding of HTML and CSS, with the ability to communicate technical requirements to developers.
- Good analytical, written communication and organisational skills.
- Able to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
- Proactive, detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
- Curious about AI-powered search and willing to test, learn and adapt.
You do not need to be an expert in every area from day one. We are looking for someone with solid SEO fundamentals, a practical mindset and the curiosity to grow across both traditional search and emerging AI-search opportunities.
Good to Have
- Familiarity with GEO, AI Overviews or AI-search visibility.
- Experience using generative AI tools for SEO research, content development or workflow automation.
- Familiarity with CRO principles, Google Tag Manager, Hotjar or A/B testing.
- Basic knowledge of schema markup and structured data.
