Senior WSHE Officer – Construction & LTA Projects

Job summary

Our client, a renowned building and construction firm, is seeking a Workplace Safety, Health, & Environment Officer to enforce WSHE policies across the project site. You will ensure compliance with MOM regulations, conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, risk assessments, and coordinate with managers, engineers, subcontractors, and authorities to maintain a safe environment.

Requirements include a Diploma or Degree in WSHE or related discipline, MOM-registered WSHO, and at least 3 years of WSHE

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Workplace Safety & Health, Engineering, Environmental Management or a related discipline.
• Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) with MOM.
• Minimum 3 years of WSHE experience with LTA projects.

Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce WSHE policies, procedures and standards across the project site.
• Ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act, Environmental Protection regulations, LTA safety requirements and other regulations.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections, audits and risk assessments and propose corrective actions.
• Monitor daily construction activities including excavation, lifting operations, temporary works, tunnelling and other high-risk activities.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, induction programmes and safety training for site personnel and subcontractors.
• Review Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), Method Statements and PTW documentation.
• Investigate workplace accidents, incidents and near misses and implement preventive measures.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors and authorities to maintain a safe environment.
