Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Water Resources Manager to join the AWS Water Team in APAC. You will lead water infrastructure delivery for global AWS facilities, conduct due diligence on water/wastewater solutions, and coordinate with utilities across multiple regions.

You will support operations and engineering teams to operate water treatment systems, develop performance metrics, and advise senior leadership on risk analysis and sustainability goals. Travel up to 20% is required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience.
• 6+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities experience.
• Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Experience in data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Work with internal engineering, operations, real estate and risk and resiliency teams to manage water and wastewater service delivery at new and existing AWS facilities.
• Develop and execute comprehensive water infrastructure delivery for global AWS infrastructure expansion.
• Recommend AWS water based cooling launch strategies for new regions based on in-market and desktop due diligence.
• Ensure that all water systems at existing sites are operating effectively and will not adversely impact operations.
• Identify and develop cost savings projects and initiatives related to water infrastructure and supply. Responsible for completing due diligence on in-market opportunities and developing those opportunities into cost saving for the business.
• Track and manage reliability and maintenance of water systems, as well as the resiliency of sources of water supply required for data center cooling.
• Work with internal teams to trouble shoot problems and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective Action (CA) for design and fleet deployed water systems.
• Deliver projects that directly support water sustainability goals
• Work on concurrent projects in multiple regions. 20% regional travel for site review and conduct engineering evaluations, audits, and site launches.
